| Summary of the office or any changes in the office during the last 5 years:
In 1998, the extension office of Paranaque was transferred to Muntinlupa City, including its motor vehicle files and its personnel. LTO Muntinlupa inaugurated its NEW REGISTRATION function on March 2018 which currently benefits car dealers situated in Muntinlupa, Paranaque and Las Pinas City. The services extended by this office also cater to car owners residing in the south area of Metro Manila. With the increasing number of transactions, the House Bill No 1875 of former Congressman and now Mayor of Muntinlupa Rozzano Rufino B. Biazon, LTO Muntinlupa became a regular District Office by virtue of Republic Act No. 11062, which was signed into law by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte on August 17,2018. LTO Muntinlupa was one of the Pilot Sites during the nationwide roll out of the Land Transportation Management System on May 18,2020, and its New Registration unit using LTMS on March 2023. |
