LTO-NCR: 2024 Revenue Report, Cashier’s Conference, Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar

The Land Transportation Office-National Capital Region (LTO-NCR) recently held its annual Cashiers’ Conference and Gender and Development (GAD) Seminar at Bulwagang Edu, LTO Central Office, Quezon City.

Jett Sepulveda, LTO-NCR’s Chief Accountant and Section Head, explained that the seminar aimed to equip cashiers with the knowledge and tools to manage public funds effectively and securely, while also recognizing and rewarding outstanding performance in revenue collection.

The event gathered the region’s cashiers to share insights, learn best practices, and discuss updates on cashier operations and management.

The conference also covered updates on fidelity bonding for cash-collecting officers and highlighted the importance of gender equality in the workplace environment.

“It (the seminar) was also meant to empower participants to take active roles in promoting gender-responsive initiatives through gender-fair language,” added Neil Chua, Vice Chair of the office’s GAD committee.

 

 

Those in attendance at the one-day seminar included LTO-NCR Regional Director Roque “Rox” I. Verzosa III, Annabelle N. Quevedo, Chief of the Financial Management Division at LTO-NCR; Arch. Pio Paolo E. Erta, OIC Administrative Division at LTO-NCR; Ms. Conception S. Austria, OIC Regional Director Officer II of the National Capital Region Division at the Bureau of the Treasury; Mr. Paul Bryan B. Materum, Treasury Operations Officer IV of the National Capital Region Bureau of the Treasury; Ms. Mary Grace Roselee B. Doctor, Chief Treasury Operations of the National Cash Accounting Bureau of the Treasury; Mr. Jaymar B. Saturnino, Treasury Operations Officer IV of the National Cash Accounting Division at the Bureau of the Treasury; and Ms. Rowena B. Dirain, Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI).

 

Also present were employees from LTO-NCR’s Financial and Management Division, Cash Collecting Officers, and alternate cashiers, as well as representatives from the LTO-NCR Administrative Division.

In a related development, the LTO-NCR reported a 1.39 percent increase in its revenue collection from January to October 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reaching Php 7,730,400,544.16.

Quevedo highlighted that the agency had already surpassed last year’s revenue collection of Php7,624,776,288.18. She attributed the growth to strong collections in recent months.

“Most of the revenue came from registration and licensing fees, which amounted to Php6,898,639,097.16 and Php744,738,912.00, respectively,” Quevedo said.

Additionally, the Law Enforcement and Traffic Adjudication System (LETAS) contributed Php 72,989,545.00, while the Motor Vehicle Inspection Center (MVIC) added Php 14,032,990.00.
